Nice stay
βVery disappointing stay β room nothing like advertisedβ
Team in the spa.
We booked based on the listing photos, but the room we were given was completely different: no sliding doors, only a tiny window, a low ledge from the "balcony" you could crawl straight onto the roof from. It was tucked next to the luggage room and felt more like a janitor's storage space than a guest room β cleaning supplies were even left right outside the door. The part of this block behind reception has nothing to do with the rest of the hotel, it is zero star block, luggage storage staff household rooms. It is disgrace they put guests in these rooms! To make things worse, it was my birthday during this stay, and instead of any kind of gesture or acknowledgment, we were charged extra just to move to a different room. The hotel manager (an Iranian woman β I believe her name was Shahnaz, though I'm not 100% sure of the spelling) was unhelpful and dismissive throughout. She blocked any attempt to speak with other management, didn't respond to our concerns, offered no apology, and repeatedly insisted all rooms were "the same" β which is simply false, as the photos below show side by side with what my friend received in a standard room. But she was very fast to charge us extra to move the room. On top of this, the manager told us herself that she was sick while working, and several other staff members β including those handling and serving food β also appeared unwell. By the last day of our stay, we had gotten sick too, and we spoke with a number of other guests who reported the same thing. Overall, a stay marked by false advertising, poor management, and hygiene concerns that left multiple guests ill. We won't be returning.
