“5 day summer trip at a charming guest house”
My room was a decent size as I was traveling alone. It was on a quiet street, so I did not hear any noise at all. What I liked most about the place was that it is central to many temples and a short walking distance to the night market, Mt. Phousi and a ton of shops and local restaurants. The bus stop to Kuang Si waterfall is about a 15-20 minute walk (in Thatluang Park and is about 50k for one way-way cheaper than booking privately). The staff was very nice and accommodating and kept my room clean.
If you like firm mattresses like I do, be advised the beds are very soft and bouncy. The bathroom was clean, but had a few ants as it was a bit hot outside. Also, if you want to see the monk procession early in the morning, they do lock the doors at night and no one is at the desk. It was dark, so I did not see they left the key at the front desk, so just look there and you can let yourself out.
