Dear Booking.com Customer Service, I am writing to raise a serious complaint regarding my hotel reservation. At the time I made the reservation, I clearly understood and confirmed that the room rate was approximately INR 7,000, which I considered a reasonable price. However, I was extremely shocked to later discover that the total amount booked for two rooms for two nights was approximately INR 75,000. This amount is completely different from what I reasonably understood and expected when confirming the reservation. I find it extremely difficult to understand how such a high amount could be charged for a stay at Ginger Hotel, which is generally positioned in the 3- to 4-star hotel category. The difference between the price I understood at the time of booking and the final reservation amount is so substantial that I feel the booking process was seriously misleading. As a customer, I believe that the total price and all applicable charges should be presented clearly and transparently before the reservation is confirmed. I therefore request Booking.com to urgently investigate this reservation, explain how the total amount of approximately INR 75,000 was calculated, and provide an appropriate resolution, including a correction or refund if the amount was incorrectly or misleadingly presented during the booking process.
