“A quiet night's sleep at the heart of Newtown”
What a great location! It's right on King Street, super-convenient for buses, trains, eateries, convenience stores - it's all there 🧡 I needed somewhere clean, safe and convenient so I could attend an event on a Tuesday night. This ticked all the boxes, plus I was surprised at how quiet our room (Room 14) was, given the location on the busiest street in Newtown. Caught the train from the Central Coast down to Newtown and found this a bit of a walk from the station but an easy, flat, interesting walk. Then caught the bus to our event in Marrickville - it was all very easy. Staff were friendly and helpful, and gave us a keycard to enter after they locked up for the night. Be aware this is a budget hotel - everywhere is expensive these days, but it was cheaper than almost anything else reputable I could find in the area. Being a budget hotel, there are no frills and the decor is dated, but it still ticked all our boxes. Loved that I could get a room with two single beds for my friend and I, that still had our own bathroom (because even though I travel on the cheap, there have to be some benefits to getting older, and an ensuite bathroom is one of them!) There are cheaper shared-bathroom options if that's what you're looking for. There is also a small communal kitchen if you want to prep a simple meal to save money.

Location.....however the area wasnt safe. An attack happened right outside the hotel. I was accosted twice myself.
Cleanlinesa. Privacy of personal belongings. The housekeeping staff oractically threw out all my cosmetics and food stuff that i bought from COLES AND ALDI.
