We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Te Anau lodge. We arrived afrer driving through a bit of a snow storm, but we made it ok. Kym was great she met us at the door and helped book us on a bus to Milford Sound for the next morning. We got a tour of this interesting historic building where you feel like you are back in time. It was a comfotable stay and kym fed us a good breakfast each morning. Highly recommended if you like something a bit different from a standard motel.

A bit of a walk from town centre though not too far. We did not have a car
“Quirky, fun place to stay. The garden was full of alternative decorations that were fun to explore.”
It was a quirky place. We were upgraded to the homestead which was furnished from the fifties to the eighties. Very eclectic with a vcr and old nostalgic appliances. Well heated. The main building kept its convent charm.
It was a great stay
I enjoy the location and can imagine in the warmer months that the grounds would be lovely. Breakfast was ample and cooked fresh.
The room was very small and the building is starting to look very tired in places. We were returning guests so perhaps we see things differently.
