We have stayed in a lot of places while travelling, but the Tanara Upstairs Premium Studio at Fiordland Lakeview Motel and Apartments is honestly the best room we have ever experienced. Everything has been so carefully thought through, resulting in a complete luxury feel from the moment you walk in. There are so many little details that made this room exceptional. The heated floors in both the bathroom and toilet were amazing, as was the TV screen set up so you can watch it while relaxing in the bath. The rain shower was fantastic, and the large fridge with cold filtered water inside was such a thoughtful touch. There was also a coffee machine, a very relaxing fake-fire heater, electric blinds, recliner chairs and a large, incredibly comfortable bed with electric blankets. The soundproofing was also fantastic. We genuinely couldn’t tell if anyone was staying beside us, which made the room feel incredibly peaceful and private. The view was beautiful, and it was only a 10 minute easy walk into Te Anau along the waterfront. We also really appreciated the area provided to give your car a quick clean, complete with a hose and scrubbing brush — something we definitely made use of after some of our travels! The receptionist was incredibly friendly and provided us with lots of helpful local knowledge, which was a lovely added touch. There is honestly nothing negative I can say about this stay. Every detail has been considered to make the experience comfortable, relaxing and luxurious without feeling over the top. If I could give this place more than five stars, I would. We absolutely loved our stay and cannot recommend Fiordland Lakeview Motel and Apartments enough. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

A smart tv would have been nice but not really necessary with the views.
