“Mixed: fantastic breafast, great location, disappointing service and response to politely raised con”
Superb breakfast: tremendous choice and good quality. Great, convenient location. Magical view, especially at night (though we did in fact pay extra for that - it wasn't automatically included and lots of the rooms do not have a good view).
Building work going on in hotel.: noise, building rubbish lying around, areas blocked with building materials. On arrival we had to climb over cables to get to room. Checkin delays (more than an hour second time) due to card malfunctions. Loose wiring in room. No shower curtain so bathroom very wet after each person's shower. Website promises a rooftop bar, but there has not been one since February (we went in September). No rate reduction offered for any of these problems when politely raised. Manager stayed out of sight. All this is a pity, as potentially it is a magnificent hotel.
