“Spacious, clean and ideal if you are visiting Palermo by car”
We chose Villa Lampedusa because we were driving and did not want to navigate Palermo’s narrow streets. We arrived quite late, at around 11 p.m., and the owner kindly waited for us, which we really appreciated. There is plenty of parking because the complex also has a spa and a popular restaurant. A large car park is available, although we chose to park directly in front of the hotel for €15 per day. Our accommodation was spacious and clean, with two separate rooms, each containing a double bed. The bathroom was also large and very clean. The staff throughout our stay were friendly and helpful. Because of the hotel’s location, we ate at the restaurant next door. It was lively, full of local people, and served good food at reasonable prices. We also had breakfast at the hotel on our first morning. It consisted of pastries and cooked eggs and was perfectly adequate. Overall, Villa Lampedusa was a comfortable and practical choice for our family, particularly as we had a car. We would happily recommend it.
The hotel is outside Palermo city centre, and unfortunately the city’s public transport is not particularly convenient. However, the train station is about a five-minute drive away and has a large free car park. Alternatively, it takes approximately 20 minutes to walk there. We walked to the station and caught the train into central Palermo, which worked well.
