“Not flash, but perfectly adequate and comfortable”
The location is perfect; across the road from the beach and kids’ playground, a few minutes walk to the city centre. The beds were comfortable. All the staff very friendly. Edgewater Motor Lodge was comfortable and perfectly adequate for our purpose. However, the room was very old and tired. Needs a good refresh.
(My comments relate only to Room 1. It is a wheelchair access room.) The door to the main bedroom was 2 folding doors that didn’t close properly and one was difficult to move. It would have been extremely difficult for someone in a wheelchair to manage. The door fell off on our final morning. The bathroom has no place for your toiletries, there is mould spots on the ceiling, and a broken hairdryer still attached to the wall with electric current running through it - much too close to water to be safe. The carparks are very very tight - especially if someone with a Ute is parked there.
The view was beautiful, the staff were polite and helpful and the room and shower were good and warm.
