Our stay at Robinson Agadir was superb. The resort itself is incredible, the cleanliness levels are exceptional, and the staff are some of the most pleasant, friendly and helpful we’ve encountered. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them, and they genuinely couldn’t do enough for you. And the food… absolutely unbelievable! The selection changed every day during our stay, and the quality was consistently excellent. The evening dessert platters were delicious, and during our stay we enjoyed everything from fillet steak, swordfish and lamb cutlets to rib roast, tagine and much more. There really was something for everyone, and the standard of the food was exceptional. One thing that is worth understanding before booking is that Robinson Agadir is very much a German/European resort. It isn’t a typical “Brits abroad” package holiday experience, and that is actually a big part of its appeal. The resort was predominantly German during our stay, and we found the other guests to be incredibly polite, courteous and friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed, respectful and very different from some of the larger traditional package holiday resorts. Interestingly, when the midweek flights arrived from the UK, we did notice a change in atmosphere. Sunbeds suddenly became much harder to find, towels appeared on beds that weren’t being used, and there was a little more litter, noise and impatience around the bar and dining areas. To be fair, these were only a small minority of guests, but the difference was noticeable. I say this as someone from the UK because I think it’s important that we appreciate what makes Robinson so special. If you’re lucky enough to stay somewhere this beautiful, it’s worth embracing the atmosphere rather than bringing some of the habits we might associate with traditional package holidays. It’s not a competition for the best sunbed or about seeing how much food and drink you can consume.
