Beautiful hotel, but our room was a major disappointment We had been really looking forward to our stay at No. 15 by GuestHouse Bath, especially because we were on a special mother-and-daughter trip. I had chosen this boutique guesthouse because the rooms shown on the website looked so beautiful and full of character, and I had hoped it would be a special surprise for my daughter. The service, however, was very good. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, particularly with parking and storing our luggage. We also really enjoyed the new cocktail bar, which is cosy and has a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our Guest Room. The website describes the rooms as “Luxury Rooms at No. 15 Bath”, with eclectic design, artwork, beautiful wallpaper and individual character. This was a big part of why I chose the hotel. Our room on the third floor was very different from what we had expected. It had a very low ceiling, bare walls with no artwork or wallpaper, and very little of the character or luxury we had associated with the hotel from the website. Most disappointing of all, the paint on the wooden floor was peeling badly, so it came off onto our feet and socks. I completely understand that rooms can vary and that not every room can look exactly like the photographs. However, there was such a difference between the room we were given and the impression created by the website that it was difficult not to feel disappointed. For a special mother-and-daughter trip, this was particularly upsetting. I had deliberately chosen No. 15 because I wanted the stay itself to feel special, and I was hoping for the beautiful, quirky and luxurious atmosphere that the hotel presents in its photographs and description. The staff and common areas were lovely, but unfortunately our particular room did not live up to the expectations created by the hotel’s presentation. For us, the room made a significant difference to the overall experience.

L’hôtel est particulièrement bien situé. Proche du centre et sur une magnifique avenue. Le personnel est très sympathique et à l’écoute des clients. La chambre était petite, mais très propre et cosy. Les plats servis au petit-déjeuner étaient très bons.
Nous aurions apprécié un peu plus de choix pour la partie buffet du petit-déjeuner.
