We loved everything from how authentic the Balinese design was, the sounds of frogs and cicadas and how friendly the service was. The staff go out of their way to accommodate you for every request and fast to deliver. They also gave us goodbye gifts which was very thoughtful and sweet. We stayed in the one bedroom luxury villa with pool and it was great, room service was immaculate. Can’t recommend them enough!!! Also a wide variety of food and drink options and fairly priced. We are now at the Hilton Resort in Nusa Dua and it doesn’t compare to the Alena at all. We can’t wait to visit the Alena again xx
“A beautiful, relaxing stay with excellent service, lovely surroundings and genuinely welcoming staff”
Overall, we had an excellent stay. The resort was beautiful, very well maintained and had a calm, relaxing atmosphere throughout. The room was comfortable, clean and thoughtfully prepared, and everything worked exactly as it should. What stood out most was the staff. Everyone we encountered was genuinely kind, welcoming and helpful, and they clearly made a real effort to make guests feel looked after. Service was prompt, friendly and professional, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The facilities, surroundings and overall standard of the resort were all excellent, and the whole experience felt easy and enjoyable from start to finish. It is the kind of place where you can properly switch off and simply enjoy being there. We left with a very positive impression and would happily stay again.
The only small point I would mention is that the staff, while extremely kind and helpful, can sometimes be a little too attentive. We were frequently asked whether everything was okay, whether the room was good, and whether we were happy with everything. This clearly comes from a genuine desire to provide good service, but at times it felt slightly excessive and made the experience feel a little less relaxed. A slightly more natural balance between attentiveness and giving guests some space would make the service even better.

Wir waren vier Nächte in diesem Resort und es hätte nicht besser sein können. Wir haben noch nie so freundliches und professionelles Personal in einem Hotel erlebt. Jeder war stets bemüht, sein Bestes zu geben, um uns einen perfekten Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen. Die Anlage und Zimmer waren sehr schön und sauber. Das Frühstück war großartig mit vielfältiger Auswahl (auch Veggie) und die Aktivitäten, die über das Hotel organisiert wurden – die Sonnenaufgangswanderung auf den Mount Batur und der Kochkurs – waren fantastisch. Wir können dieses Resort uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Super ist das Gratis Shuttle nach Ubud und zurück!
