Rooms are beautiful. Location is good.
Hotel staff are not very attentive. Drinks were left empty at the bar, in the pool area , and not cleared. Only once asked, staff then added more drinks. Breakfast staff did not speak English very well and it made it difficult to communicate.

A beautiful family mansion now operating as a small hotel with stunning original decor and excellent service. All the staff were great and knowledgeable about the area. The views over Sintra were incomparable, both during the day and at night when you can see the whole town and Moorish castle aglow. Breakfast was fantastic, the grounds were generous, the pool quiet and well-equipped, and the peacocks were a nice extra flavour! It was about a 15-minute walk from the centre which is totally fine, especially with all the tuk tuks about. The only reason the views are so good is because the hotel is set across the valley from the town, so it needs that space to be so special.
