“Great option as hostels go”
The staff were so friendly and helpful. The function of the hostel was also really well thought out; for example the storage lockers and buckets to store food in the fridge made things really easy and reduced the chance of food going missing. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to cook and there were always clean tea towels to dry washed dishes. In the bedrooms it was pretty functional as well, as the under-bed storage lockers are quite large and worked really well. Also, the pod beds are really handy and they block out the light even if the room light is on, which makes things much easier if you're coming in late or leaving early and others are sleeping. I was in room 6 which was great-pretty quiet despite being next to the laundry. I think the rooms closer to the bathrooms might be a bit noisier.
Basic stuff: there isn't a lot of space to put things down when you go to the bathroom (toiletry bag) etc. In the rooms there are not enough hooks to hang up clothes that might be wet after a day of skiing. Cleanliness is hard when you have a full hostel of people, but the mattress protector was sort of stained and there was hair at the edges of the mattress-I recommend lifting the mattress out and vacuum the space before replacing the protector.
