“good place to stay with car to visit Coimbra”
Breakfast was good. Room excellent but did need to have windows closed with air conditioning on. Location great-close to the university. Parking underneath hotel spacious

Great location with a convenient free parking garage. Comfortable bed and decent shower. Nice breakfast - the lady in the restaurant was very friendly
The hotel has so much potential but is in need of refurbishment. Rooms are dated and tired. Almost all of the gym equipment is broken, and the on-site bar doesn’t open. Also the hotel advertises an indoor pool but when you go to use it there is a sign up saying that it is compulsory to wear a swim hat or they’ll fine you (no mention of this at the time of booking). Reception wanted to charge each of us €5 for a swim hat which we were only going to use for 30 mins max so we didn’t bother in the end….bit disappointing. Also the chemicals used in the pool seem too strong, it was irritating our eyes just being in the ‘wellness area’.
