Basic mattress not healthy....my wife developed neck pain and back muscle spasm after sleeping on the mattress and has to take medications for relief.

Hôtel très confortable, belle piscine et tres beau spa. Le personnel était adorable. Nous avions un départ à l’aéroport dans la nuit et nous avons pu profiter de la piscine tout l’après midi

“Property was great, stay away from the Shang palace”
Property is great, clean, comfortable, modern and what you would expect for a metropolitan hotel.
Staff are poorly trained. Particularly in the Shang Palace restaurant. Had a group of 9 dining. Half of our table received food, finished food before other half had received meal. This was a booking at 9:30pm. First half of our table left after eating at 10:30pm, rest didn’t receive dinner until 11pm which was closing time for the restaurant. Staff seemed completely unbothered that half our party had left the table before we had even received our food and that we waited 1hr 30 to receive our meals. Then when time to sign for the bill, waiter stood uncomfortably close as I was signing to see if a tip was left. No apology or reduction on bill for the worst meal we encountered in 20 days in Sri Lanka. This ruined the experience entirely.
