English: It was the worst experience. We arrived at the hotel and were told it was overbooked, even though the reservation had been confirmed on Booking.com more than two months prior, and they even implied it was our "fault" for not responding to their emails and calls the previous day. Of course, my husband and I were on vacation; I don't check my email or answer unknown numbers. And even if I had answered, I would have only been stressed for longer. Then they offered us another hotel in the chain, including breakfast and a taxi to get there. They made it seem like a good deal, but thankfully I wasn't fooled and compared prices and room photos online. Guess what? A basically identical room, and I would have to pay even more, and we didn't want breakfast because we have dietary restrictions. We told this to the hotel employee, who even said they could match the price and leave breakfast free anyway. But that's not the point... it's that they were trying to deceive me and the stress we were going through after hours of driving and being exhausted. That's when the story gets worse. I asked if, given the situation, they couldn't actually give us a better room at the other hotel, and she said she spoke to them and they didn't have any availability, so we had to go to the other hotel anyway. They called a taxi that took ages to arrive, and at the reception of the other hotel, guess what? The guy wasn't well-informed and we had to ask for the benefits as if they owed us nothing. So we carried our heavy suitcases to a room in a very remote wing of the hotel, it seemed like a labyrinth, and when we got to the room it felt like a basement. The room was completely dark, no air conditioning, no way to open the window or curtains because it faced the street at the same level as the pedestrians... but oh, there was some cheap wine waiting for us there...
