“Nice hotel, weird cleaning schedule”
Very nice modern hotel with public bath and coin laundry facility, which is exactly why we chose this hotel in the first place. Although be aware, coin laundry is very popular in the evenings, in particular driers, and closes at midnight and opens at 6am, so you can't take advantage of the jet lag. There's a very cute and calming courtyard, where one can sit and relax.
We generally liked the hotel, but the main disadvantage was the cleaning schedule. The hotel provides cleaning every fourth day, although they will leave clean towels at the door handle, and you can add more cleaning for a fee. Generally I don't need cleaning every day, but we stayed four nights, so they cleaned the day before we departed. Would have been nice, if instead they would have cleaned the day before that, in the middle of our stay. We ended up with two sets of towels for the most time and with driers being very popular, we had to dry some of our clothes in the room, so it looked very junky. Also, in the garbage can free and packaging heavy Japan, the garbage in the room accumulates for four days, adding even more to the junkyness. The double or king size bed, are actually two single mattresses covered with a large sheet, so you end up with a crevice.

Perfect location, the staff was really nice during all our stay, nice room and the hotel vibes were really enjoyable. If I ever come back to Kyoto I will stay at this hotel again
